I'm a home-based Canadian artist living in North Vancouver - British Columbia...my art has evolved through years of experimentation with materials and techniques that have become my own...

Peeks Walner came to be during my childhood... years later - the name returned and now belongs to the part of me that is the most instinctive and creatively alive...over time - Peeks has become the artist...

My process developed alongside her...I use drywall - acrylic paint - cloth - water and hand tools...building the surface up - taking it apart and building it again...I've learned how the materials behave - how far I can push them - and when to decide they've arrived at "super cool"...

My work isn't about trying to tell specific stories - I want the surfaces to reveal themselves gradually rather than all at once...the layers - marks - and traces are for you to interpret...I don't expect everyone to see the same thing in my work - that's the part of abstraction that interests me...

The edges often remain raw - the history of the surface stays visible... what happens in the making remains part of the finished work... I began painting later in life - experience informs my work - and over time each piece becomes its own resolution...
